The Harvard Chan Bioinformatics Core  is pleased to announce the next session of the Harvard Chan Bioinformatics Core’s (HBC) Current Topics in Bioinformatics 2023 series – Publication perfect I. This free, hands-on workshop is available to all Harvard affiliates. The workshop is part of our series which covers a variety of bioinformatics topics & related skills.

Publication Perfect I: One of the biggest challenges in disseminating your research is visualizing the results in a way that is meaningful, easy to interpret and aesthetically pleasing. In this hands-on workshop, we introduce an efficient and reproducible workflow in R for creating publication-ready figures. We will introduce ggplot2 syntax to create custom plots, and we will explore how to determine the type of plots most appropriate for your data. This workshop will build on the content of the Introduction to R online resource, or July’s R Basics workshop.Pre-requisite: R basics, a working knowledge of R or self-learning of the Harvard Catalyst Online R resource Wednesday September 20th from 1-4pm.Sign up for your zoom link.

The remaining 2023 workshops are listed in the table above. All workshops are currently held remotely via Zoom.
