Congratulations to Assistant Professor Rong Ma who’s research in collaboration with a team from Stanford University was recently published in PNAS. The paper, titled Principled and interpretable alignability testing and integration of single-cell data, addresses the challenges of aligning and integrating different datasets with a unified spectral manifold alignment and inference (SMAI) framework to preserve within-data structures and improve downstream analyses, such as identification of differentially expressed genes and imputation of spatial transcriptomics.
