Melody Goodman, PhD ‘06, collaborates with colleagues, including Cassandra Arroyo-Johnson, PhD ’03, on an important new study, called “Race, Law, and Health: Examination of ‘Stand Your Ground’ and defendant convictions in Florida.” After her mentor Marcello Pagano alerted her to potentially inconsistent and misleading data in a Tampa Bay Times article, Melody chose to take on the project of updating the data set and conducting another investigation.
