Giving Back – New Funds

This year we received an extraordinarily generous gift from Fong Wang Clow ’89, given in honor of her mentor Professor Nan Laird’s retirement. Since supporting our doctoral program remains the Department’s primary fundraising challenge, we are particularly grateful that the Fong Clow Doctoral Fellowship Fund, an endowed fund, will help support doctoral students in perpetuity.

We also want to thank the generosity of donors to our general Biostatistics scholarship fund, in particular to an anonymous donor who made a major gift in honor of Victor De Gruttola, and to major funders of the Wei Family Scholarship Fund.

We are now seeking additional gifts to endow the Nan Laird Fellowship Fund.  As you make your end-of-the-year charitable contributions, please consider contributing to the new Laird Fellowship Fund, or another scholarship fund of your choosing.
