Spiegelman & Williams Honored by CAWF

Drs. Donna Spiegelman and Paige Williams were honored by the Committee on the Advancement of Women Faculty (CAWF) at the annual Alice Hamilton Award lecture last week.

Donna Spiegelman, professor of epidemiologic methods, was recognized by CAWF with its annual Mentoring Award. She received the award from three of her many mentees: Lindsay Jaacks, assistant professor of global health and population, Judith Lok, associate professor of biostatistics, and Molin Wang, assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology. Lok praised Spiegelman as an “enthusiastic advocate for our professional growth.”

Paige Williams, senior lecturer on biostatistics, received the inaugural CAWF Service Award. She was recognized as a founding member of CAWF’s predecessor, The Committee on the Concerns of Women Faculty, established in 1992. As part of her work with CAWF, Williams conducts the School’s annual analysis of faculty promotion and salary by gender.
