Larry Han Receives ENAR’s Top Award

Larry HanIn addition to receiving a distinguished student paper award at the annual Spring Meeting of the Eastern North American Region (ENAR)  of the International Biometric Society, doctoral student Larry Han was the recipient of the 2021 John Van Ryzin Award, which is given to the author of the most outstanding paper submitted to ENAR! Named after internationally-recognized researcher Dr. Van Ryzin, the award has become the most important recognition of graduate student achievement awarded in the biostatistics profession.

Larry received this top honor for his paper “On the evaluation of surrogate markers in real-world data settings“, which was joint work with Xuan Wang and Tianxi Cai, his adviser. Congratulations Larry!
