The IT Department is happy announce several staff updates!

Okella Wood
Okella (pronounced Oh-kel-ah) Wood is now a Senior User Support Specialist on the CBAR Infrastructure Team.

Okella got his start doing network wiring in the Arlington, MA elementary schools. This opened Okella’s eyes to the world of IT. He then moved on to transportation and audio companies in various locations. In California, he worked for Roku as a consulting ambassador. In London, he built an entire satellite IT office including a server room.

Interesting facts: Oak enjoys skateboarding, electronic entertainment and all things outdoor.

Yudian Chen

Yudian Chen

Yudian is a Northeastern University student co-op and will be working full-time from January through June. She is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management. She’s interested in learning how to troubleshoot software and hardware issues. At HSPH, she would like to gain real-world experience in dealing with different issues with users. She hopes to provide users with high-quality problem-solving services.

Interesting facts: Yudian is a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Gislaine Dartois
Gislaine, a participant in The Year Up Program, will be working as a full-time intern at HSPH through the month of June. She intends to pursue an IT career in the future.

She has a wide range of interests, including studying fundamental programming, enhancing her abilities as a software developer, network security, cyber security, debugging software and hardware problems, and more.
Gislaine wants to learn more about fieldwork and cyber security at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and gain more practical experience interacting with different users both offline and online.

Interesting facts: Gislaine enjoys doing hair, photography, and video and photo editing in her spare time.

Xinyu Wan

Xinyu is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University. She will be focusing on computer systems and software. She will be working as a User Services Assistant at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from January to July.
Xinyu is interested in both software and hardware troubleshooting and learning new technology, she also enjoys helping others.
She is a quick learner, with good communication skills and teamwork skills. She can quickly integrate into a new team and get familiar with new skills. She’s patient, calm, meticulous, and creative, can find negligence in the work on time, and consider the problem comprehensively. She’s able to complete projects independently and achieve goals as well.
Xinyu prefers to be called “Wan Wan”.

Interesting facts: Xinyu likes watching movies, playing football, badminton, and lots of sports.
