Staff VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) will be upgraded to Windows 11 in May of 2024.
Windows 11 brings a host of exciting new features and enhancements:
- Sleek and Modern Design: Windows 11 introduces a fresh and modern interface, with rounded corners and a centered (but configurable) Start menu for a clean and elegant look.
- Improved Productivity: With enhanced Snap layouts, you can now organize your windows more efficiently, making multitasking a breeze. Additionally, the new virtual desktops feature allows for better organization and productivity.
- Faster Login Times: Behind the scenes, Windows 11 is now more efficient at handling tasks that need to happen during login, such as loading personalized settings and apps. Overall, Windows 11 has been fine-tuned to run smoother, which makes logging in faster.
- Enhanced Security: Windows 11 comes with advanced security features to protect your data and privacy.
- Compatibility and Performance: Windows 11 is designed to be compatible with a wide range of devices, delivering improved performance and efficiency compared to its predecessor. All of the software provided on Staff VDI has been tested and confirmed to be working with Windows 11. IT will reach out to each department soon to schedule the upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
