11/12/19 – Network Maintenance. No impact expected.

The Harvard Network will undergo routine maintenance on November 12 at 9PM until November 13 at 4AM.

As part of HUIT’s effort to provide 100 gigabit (Gb) network connectivity across the University to better support big data and research activities, HUIT is upgrading one of the two border connections to the Internet. We do not expect any impact to connectivity during this time. There may be momentary connection interruptions, requiring users to reload a web page or application, but we expect most users will not experience any disruption.

A similar upgrade was successfully performed in October on the other Border with no interruption.

In the unlikely event of an unexpected issue, the HUIT Network Team and SPH IT Team are on standby.

If you have any questions or discover any problems, please contact the IT Help Desk at (617) 432-4357 or email helpdesk@hsph.harvard.edu.
