Verizon is upgrading the Harvard Phone platform beginning on February 24, 2022. There will be no impact to Harvard Phone voice service during the upgrade, however, there are procedure changes to manage phone line features during, and post-upgrade outlined below.
From Thursday, February 24 at 8:00 PM to Monday, February 28 at 9:00 AM, the Harvard Phone account portal will be unavailable due to a scheduled upgrade. During this time, you can forward telephone lines using Jabber or your desktop phone. Service Desk voicemail PIN resets support will be on hold. Current Jabber users can access their voicemail messages from Jabber even if they do not know their PIN.
After the upgrade is complete, the Harvard Phone account portal will have a new look and feel. You will still need to be on the Harvard network or connected to Harvard VPN to sign in. The existing URL will redirect you to the upgraded portal. If you receive an error message or a blank screen, clear your browser cache and try again. Existing Call Forwarding and Single Number Reach settings will be migrated to the new portal, as is.
