Hi MET Colleagues,
It was nice to see many of you at our invited speaker seminar yesterday. We have an outstanding line up of speakers that come in once per month, and this will continue in subsequent academic years (speaker lists pending). Please take advantage of these opportunities to attend and, if you can, have lunch with our invited speakers.
As we would very much like invited speakers to present their own professional ideas and unpublished data, it is imperative that no one in the audience photograph or film the speakers’ slides. This is fundamental thing that you all should avoid in every setting of scientific presentations (seminars, conferences, poster sessions, etc…). If you want more information or copies of the speakers slides, I suggest that you reach out to them personally, following their talks, and request this. It reflects poorly on our community for anyone in our audience to photograph presentations, and this cannot and will not be tolerated.
Thanks for reading and considering,
Brendan
