When enrolling in an HSPH course that has an accompanying lab, students must now enroll in BOTH the Lab AND the Lecture section as separate courses.
Students not enrolled in both the lecture and the lab sections by the enrollment deadline will be dropped from the course.
Students who wish to change their lab sections need to first drop the section they are currently enrolled in and then enroll in the preferred section. The Registrar’s Office does not recommend using the ‘Drop if Enrolled’ feature in my.harvard to perform a swap.
If a student is on the waitlist for a lab section, they cannot be enrolled into that section until they have dropped their currently enrolled lab section. Because the waitlist is an automatic process, if a spot opens up, the system will skip the student if they are already enrolled in another lab. Students needing assistance on switching labs can contact the Registrar’s Office.
