Harvard Catalyst Pilot Grant Winners Announced!

In April 2018, in conjunction with our eating disorders prevention symposium, STRIPED and Harvard Catalyst hosted a pilot grant opportunity to fund research projects to advance innovative strategies for primary and secondary prevention of eating disorders. We are thrilled to announce that three Harvard-based research teams have been awarded pilot grants. Congratulations to principal investigators Allegra Gordon of Boston Children’s Hospital, Erica Kenney of Harvard Chan School of Public health, and Fatima Stanford of Massachusetts General Hospital and their teams on their funded projects! Today marks a win for the Out of Kids’ Hands Campaign! Thanks to our youth advocates, S.5863/A.5610D took effect in NY state on April 22, 2024, restricting sales of weight-loss and muscle-building supplements to minors. A judge denied an injunction motion by the supplement industry. This much-needed change protects children’s health and well-being. Find Senator Mayer’s full press release here.
